There are two types of duets: EQUAL PART and UNEQUAL PART duets.  Equal part duets are such that the difficulty of the piece is approximately the same for both players.  Unequal part duets are usually geared towards student-teacher duets or beginner student-intermediate student duets.

I have recorded these duets by first recording the teacher or secondo part, then video recording the student or primo part (which is what you see in the video).
